"Come, Share the Lord" and "Here I am Lord"

I love music. I love the hymns we sing on Sundays. The 2nd is a communion hymn and the 1st is kind of a hymn of my life right now. I love my Lord and Savior. I have felt incredibly touched by these two songs and I just can not get them out of my head. Maybe, God's message is here in the verses for me. Maybe, the message is for you to share. I hope they touch you and you carry them with you this week too.

Here I am Lord
I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin
my hand will save.
I who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright
Who will bear my light to them
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have borne my people's pain.
I have wept for love of them
They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone,
Give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my work to them.
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide
till their hears are satisfied.
I will give my life to them.
Whom shall I send.

Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

COME SHARE THE LORD

We gather here in Jesus’ name,
His love is burning in our hearts like living flame.
For through the loving Son the Father makes us one.

Come take the bread,
come drink the wine,
come share the Lord.

No one is a stranger here, ev’ry one belongs.
Finding our forgiveness here, we in turn forgive all wrongs.
He joins us here, He breaks the bread.
The Lord who pours the cup is risen from the dead.
The one we love the most is now our gracious host.

Come take the bread,
come drink the wine,
come share the Lord.

We are now a family of which the Lord is head.
Though unseen He meets us here in the breaking of the bread.

We’ll gather soon where angels sing.
We’ll see the glory of our Lord and coming King.
Now we anticipate the feast for which we wait.

Come take the bread,
come drink the wine,
come share the Lord.
